Another easy event done and done

I am getting a bit more used to what I will be facing and I want to strive to be not just a dealer among the sea of dealers. I want to get better and better to where I am an asset. I have an interview lined up for the same time frame, easier hours and manageable with good daily cash tips as a cashier. I think I will go to it and feel it out. I wish to keep my options open. I still am learning and will keep doing so until I get as close to perfect as possible. I have another event next week and I will be at school and work on my mistakes and get the wrinkles out:)

Today is all legs. Start with leg extensions, a warm up of 8-15, add 30% and 3 sets of 6-8, same rules apply to both leg curls and smith machine squats except the squats are your body weight on your back for the work sets.

Comparing, Belittling and Competing

I have always thought that being a little competitive is always good for myself. However, it is a thin line between healthy comparison and belittling yourself. There is a saying in Chinese, 长他人志气 灭自己威风, meaning: lauding the spirit of your competitor and belittle that of your own. I always believe the biggest enemy is oneself but that doesn’t mean I don’t compare myself with others, even subconsciously.

When I was working my way up in my career ladder, I compared myself with peers around my age group and education level. Whether I am on par or do I exceed the average. It’s like having an invisible bar to cross in order to feel accomplished. In my own time and methods, I manage to relinquished such thoughts and kept it from affecting my performance.
